"Just Bazaar was the culmination of many years of pondering and idealising about setting up a business that incorporates beautiful things and ethical trading. Back in 2005 my thoughts began to centralise into the idea of setting up a Fair Trade retail business. The initial business plan involved scouring the world for beautiful, quality products to sell both online and in a retail outlet, but the reality of setting up a business on a budget reared its head and also made me realise that by purchasing from established Fair Trade importers I could simply pick and choose the best products from the comfort of home – or a trade fair – and not run up a bigger carbon footprint by travelling the world. So the business idea began to come together and I sourced a good variety of products from different suppliers, all belonging to BAFTs, the British Association of Fair Trade Shops, opened up a little shop and learnt how to build a website. Both the shop and the website have been extremely well received, but due to the birth of our daughter Beatrix in January 2008 the decision was made to close the shop and focus solely on the rapidly growing internet shopping site".

"I have a great deal of future plans for Just Bazaar, including the re-opening of a shop; the expansion of the party plan and fundraising side of the business; promoting the business and selling products at markets and events – look out for a list of events on the contact us page; importing products from suppliers directly; sadly for me – but for the good of the planet - I have found ways to do this without gallivanting all over the world; I am also planning to introduce a range of ethical products manufactured in the UK such as ethically sourced silver hand crafted in Wales. I am extremely optimistic about the future for Just Bazaar and look forward to finding exciting new products to show you via this website and other events".
